Tourist Attraction in Zabol (city)
An archaeological site of a sizable Bronze Age urban settlement, associated with the Jiroft culture. It is located in Sistan and Baluchistan Province, the southeastern part of Iran, on the bank of the Helmand River, near the Zahedan-Zabol road. It was placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in June 2014.

A group of Iranian archaeologists and fellow international experts have recently commenced a fresh round of exploration in the Burnt City, a UNESCO-registered site in southeastern Iran.
The 5,000-year-old monkey skeleton that was found in Shahr-e Sukhteh (burnt city) in eastern Iran, was put on display in the southeastern local museum for the first time, a provincial tourism official said.
