Situated near the Sa'di Tomb in Shiraz, this garden dates back to the pre-Islamic period and the time of Sassanians. With an area of 7.5 ha, it is a major attraction of Shiraz.
Tomb of Sa'di, also spelled Saadi (Sadi-e-Shirazi), byname of Musharrif al-Din ibn Muslih al-Din, (born c. 1213, Shiraz, Iran - died Dec. 9, 1291, Shīrāz), Persian poet, one of the greatest figures in classical Persian literature.
Tourists visiting historical and cultural sites of Shiraz, Iran’s southwestern province of Fars, increased by 12 percent in the first three months of the current Persian year (starting March 21, 2019), said the head of Iran’s Tourism Organization of Fars Province.
