Besh Qardash Park - Bojnord (Bojnurd)
Bojnurd (Bojnord) in North Khorasan Province (Khorasan-e Shomali) is about 701 km. from Tehran and is located in the plains enjoying a mild and mountainous weather. This city was originally called "Bijan Gerd". Gerd meaning city and Bojnurd means Bijans city. The ancient city was situated on a hill northwest of the present city of Bojnurd, known as Sareban Mahaleh. The ethnic composition of Bojnurd comprises of Turk and Kurd tribes.

The ancient city was situated on a hill northwest of the present city of Bojnurd called Sareban Mehalleh, also known as Sarvan Mahaleh by local people. ojnourd is also famous for its Turkmen horses and professional horse-training centers and, for this reason, attracts visitors interested in equestrianism from all over the world, thus enriching the city considerably with the revenue to be derived from such equestrian tourism.
