Kohneh Castle (Ghaleh Kohne) - Meshgin Shahr
On the eastern slope of the Baq Nowruz Valley in Meshkin Shahr, there is a castle by the river and there is an inscription with Pahlavi script belonging to the Sassanian period. It's probable that this castle has been built replacing the ancient Sassanian castle as mentioned in an inscription.

This castle is known as the Kohneh Ghaleh or Kohne-Ghala (in Persian means old castle) also known as Arshoq Castle. This ancient monument was built in an approximate area of 15,000 square meters. It is located over a hill with 50 meters heights and the height of the old castle is more than 1,400 meters, and the old builders have a castle with 6 small towers, thick walls and small chambers, like a manger that seems to be with him for a soldier and a horse.
