These mountain ranges lie in the township of Jask, and form two distinctive ranges named as, the eastern Bashagard range and the western Bashagard range. Its highest peak being 'Kooh Mehr' reaching an elevation of 2,046 m. The same is in the village of western Bashagard.
Jask is a port town, about 1,690 kilometres south of Tehran, situated on the Gulf of Oman.It is the site of a base of the Iranian Navy which opened on October 28, 2008.
