This is similar to a 'Thanks Giving' ceremony after the harvest is collected from the fields in early autumn. In this ritual each rural family saves about 20 sq.m. of his crop (wheat) on their respective field and harvests the rest. The crop left aside is known as 'Halla' and remains on the field tile the day of the ritual or ceremony. Relatives, neighbors and mostly farmers are invited. Cows and sheeps are slaughtered in preparation for the ceremony and party, when a lunch is catered for. The women are not present in this ritual.
After the lunch in over, the men along with a piece of bread called 'Naziek' or 'Nazri' that is made of goat milk, together leave for the fields. Here they circle around the crop which has been remained unharvested, and one of the elder man in the group begins chanting the name of the Almighty and salutations in praise of the Prophet Mohammad, begins to harvest the remaining crop.
The rest do the same, and each person takes home the amount he has toiled for, as a sign of luck. It is of great interest to know that the word 'halla' is chanted repeatedly before the wheat is completely harvested from the fields. After which the elderly divided the pieces of bread or 'naziek' and fruit between the guests, the guests after presenting their gifts in kerchiefs leave the vicinity. This ritual takes place in he area of Angooran and is most probably a custom related to the Zoroastrians.
