This citadel which is also known as Cohan Dej is in the center of the city of Soltanieh, comprising of a moat as well as the rampart. The said citadel is rectangular and is made of green slabs of stone. Besides which is boasts of 16 towers and an extremely beautiful gateway. At present, from the average point of view the rampart rises to 4 m. in height. This massive and broad rampart has been constructed uniquely and four towers can be noted around it. (Sir Robert Corporter) has determined the height of this building in his studies. According to the above mentioned the tower standing north west rises to a height of 40 feet and the width being 12 feet. The most interesting and important principles to be noted in this aggregate reputedly known as Abvabol Bar.
