Bilehsavar (Bileh-Savar) forms a vast area of ARDEBIL province. In local language "Bileh" means "a land between two rivers" as it is situated between two rivers of Belha and Bigloo. The city is located in a level plain enjoying a hot climate in summer and a pleasant and moderate weather in winter.
he city is the site of a border crossing with Republic of Azerbaijan. Pile-Savar was built by a dignitary of the Buyid dynasty who was called Pile-Savar (the Great Rider).
